August 31, 2010, Houston– Assurance Commercial Real Estate services proudly participated as a sponsor of the University of Houston Cougars Athletic Alliance 4th Annual Golf Challenge presented by Exxon Mobile.

James Robertson, Jr., founder of Assurance Commercial, is an alumnus of the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business and played middle linebacker for the schools Division I football team.

“It is an honor to support my Alma matter.  My experiences at UH shaped my life in many ways, and I can only hope that these scholarships will help enable young men and women to become better equipped to be enthusiastic and dynamic contributors to our economy and society at large,” says Robertson.

Proceeds from the event, held Tuesday August 31, 2010, benefited The University of Houston Alumni Association’s scholarship efforts, including support of teachHouston, a math and science program in the College of Education and general scholarships for student athletes.
